Application Lock Down Mode [EPS Cloud]
Application Lock Down Mode : LDM
It is advisable to use Application Lock down mode in corporate environments, to protect against new Zero-Day Threats
LDM MODE :
- Low :
Use this feature to block new and unwanted applications.
All known and trusted applications will be allowed to run.
Our Lab keeps updating the Application Whitelist.
This mode is helpful to block and avoid running of new malware from email or internet, downloads or pen-drive.
Medium :
This mode enforces a strict lockdown mode.
Any applications which user has run / used previously are approve.
Prior to enabling this feature, All previously run application are approved.
Further any new application user tries to run will not be allowed to run and will be blocked.
High :
This mode blocks all applications except the operating system and Net protector Endpoint security.
System Admins can add the blocked application to White List.
Disable :
Disable LDM Setting.
Follow the steps below to turn on Application Lock Down settings:
- Select policy from Policy Management
To select LDM Settings with Low Mode
- Go to shield tab
- Select LDM Setting checkbox
- Select Low Mode
To select LDM Settings with Medium Mode
- Go to shield tab
- Select LDM Setting checkbox
- Select Medium Mode
To select LDM Settings with High Mode
- Go to shield tab
- Select LDM Setting checkbox
- Select High Mode
To select LDM Settings with Disable Mode
- Go to shield tab
- Select LDM Setting checkbox
- Select Disable Mode
2. After launch any unwanted applications LDM will block that application and show popup.
3. To allow application click on Allow button.
If password is set from EPS server then enter password.
4. To install new software you can open Application locker for some time.
Click on "Click Here" Hyperlink.
Application locker window will open.
Select Time Interval and click on open lock.
After install software it is recommended to close lock.
